The purpose of the project is to develop the scientific and educational activities of the Research Data Management Competence Center, develop educational and methodological support and train data curators; obtain DOI for datasets of the Open Data Repository of the NAS of Ukraine (DataverseUA) and for preprints of the NAS Preprint Archive of Ukraine within the framework of the implementation of the Concept of Implementation of European Principles of Open Science at the NAS of Ukraine for 2024-2030 (Resolution of the Presidium of the NAS of Ukraine dated 29.11.2023 No. 400).

The project was carried out within the framework of the Targeted Scientific and Technical Project of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine “Implementation and Support of Open Science in the Institutions of the NAS of Ukraine (OPENS2)” for 2025–2026 and in accordance with the Concept for the Implementation of the European Principles of Open Science in the NAS of Ukraine for 2024–2030. The aim of the project is to develop the scientific and educational activities of the Research Data Management Competence Center, support researchers in matters of open science and research data management, and further develop infrastructure for the storage and dissemination of scientific data. During the implementation of the project, the website of the virtual FAIR Data Competence Center was updated and maintained. The website is used to provide educational and methodological support for researchers and to promote open science practices. It was supplemented with methodological and reference materials on the preparation, deposition, and reuse of FAIR research data in the open data repository of the NAS of Ukraine, DataverseUA. Organizational and methodological documents for the implementation of open science practices were prepared, including proposals for regulations on open science and a template for a research data management plan. DOI registration for research datasets and preprints was ensured through the services of DataCite. Training courses were developed and three webinars were conducted for staff of research institutions and universities on open science, FAIR data, and practical aspects of depositing datasets in the DataverseUA repository. The results obtained contribute to the development of open science infrastructure and to improving research data management practices within the NAS of Ukraine.
