After plating the supernatant from the main cell bank, the working cell bank, and from cells collected after the completion of the industrial fermentation process of the Escherichia coli IMV B-8154 bacterial producer strain, no lysis was observed, indicating the absence of contaminating bacteriophages in the sample or that their number is less than the sensitivity limit of the method, i.e. less than 2 phage particles in the tested volume.
