The subject of the study is the legal relationships arising in the process of detecting and investigating the sexual exploitation of children. Subject – the detection and investigation of child sexual exploitation, including through the use of online IT technologies. The aim of the study is to identify theoretical and practical challenges in the detection and investigation of child sexual exploitation, including through the use of online IT technologies. To achieve this objective, the following tasks have been set: - to examine the theoretical foundations of combating the sexual exploitation of children; - to consider the specific features of investigating the sexual exploitation of children; - to examine the challenges of using IT technologies to identify and investigate the sexual exploitation of children; - to examine issues related to the investigation of criminal offenses involving the sexual exploitation of children; - to explore the challenges and difficulties in identifying and investigating criminal offenses involving the sexual exploitation of children; - to provide practical recommendations on these issues. Results and their novelty: - The theoretical foundations of combating the sexual exploitation of children were examined; - Methods for identifying the sexual exploitation of children were reviewed; - Issues related to the use of IT technologies for identifying and investigating the sexual exploitation of children were examined; - issues related to the documentation of criminal offenses involving the sexual exploitation of children were examined; - problems and challenges in detecting and investigating criminal offenses involving the sexual exploitation of children were examined; - practical recommendations regarding these issues were provided.
