popup.description1
Creation of highly active bimetallic zeolite catalysts for hydrodeoxygenation of secondary bio-raw materials – oxygen-containing unsaturated cyclic compounds, fatty acids, etc. – into jet fuel components.
popup.description2
The study of the aldol condensation and fission pathways in the cross-aldol reaction of benzaldehyde and 3-pentanone showed that both pathways are significantly affected by the strength of the acid sites. For the sulfonic acids family, the condensation rate constants increased with increasing acid strength, expressed as calculated Gibbs deprotonation energies. For the BEA topology family of zeolites isomorphously substituted with Al, Ga, Fe, or B, the fission rates increased with increasing acid strength, expressed as calculated Gibbs deprotonation energies or heats of adsorption of isopropylamine, which decreased in the following order: Al (176 ± 3 kJ/mol) > Fe (166 ± 3 kJ/mol) > Ga (162 ± 3 kJ/mol) > B (144 ± 1 kJ/mol).
A set of ruthenium nanoparticles supported on aluminosilicate carriers were synthesized and investigated in the hydrocracking of n-hexadecane in a continuous fixed-bed reactor to obtain compounds related to jet fuels. The studied materials demonstrated high catalytic activity at relatively low temperatures (200–240 °C), which led to the formation of predominantly linear C10–C15 alkanes. The catalytic activity in terms of n-hexadecane conversion has the following order: Ru/Al-MCF ˃ Ru/Al-SBA-15 ˃ Ru/Al-MCM-41 and correlates with the density of Brønsted acid sites, calculated as the ratio of their concentration to the mesopore specific surface area.
