popup.description1
The aim of this work is to obtain new spin crossover complexes and hybrid organic–inorganic perovskites, to study their optical, mechanical, magnetic, and electrical properties, to establish correlations between the composition, structure, and physicochemical properties of coordination compounds and 3D hybrid perovskites, as well as to obtain nanomaterials and composites based on them.
popup.description2
Object of study – coordination cyanometallate frameworks based on Fe(II) exhibiting spin crossover and hybrid organic–inorganic halide perovskites based on the aziridinium cation of varying dimensionalities, including single-crystal, polycrystalline, and thin-film forms.
Aim of the work – to establish the relationship between composition, crystal structure, dimensionality, and functional (magnetic and optical) properties of novel coordination and perovskite materials, as well as to develop approaches for tuning their electronic characteristics for optoelectronic applications.
Research methods – synthesis of coordination compounds and perovskites; X-ray structural analysis (single-crystal and powder); magnetic measurements; differential scanning calorimetry; optical spectroscopy (UV–vis, photoluminescence); quantum-chemical calculations using density functional theory (DFT).
Results and novelty – a new spin-crossover coordination polymer was synthesized using the hexacyanochromate anion as a building block; a two-step spin transition and thermochromic properties were investigated; a series of aziridinium-based perovskites of different dimensionalities was obtained, and the influence of halide composition and doping on the band gap was demonstrated; the possibility of producing stable thin films of novel perovskites with tunable optical properties was shown.
