It was found that all samples contained spherical exosomes with a diameter of 25 nm to 88 nm. In addition, microvesicles with a diameter of 103.4 to 174.2 nm were found in the samples, which may be large exosomes according to the literature (Sidhom et al., 2020; Gurung et al., 2021; Choi et al., 2023). The samples contained a relatively low concentration of exosomes and microvesicles, which is likely a consequence of several freeze-thaw cycles. This is indirectly indicated by the presence of some deformed (damaged) and fused exosomes.
