popup.description1
Carrying out of works on monitoring of a condition of water ecosystems in a zone of influence of restoration and operation of a deep-water vessel course (on hydrobiological indicators); determination of the ecological status of aquatic ecosystems in accordance with the requirements of the EU Water Framework Directive; development of recommendations for improving the monitoring system of the deep waterway Danube - Black Sea; development of recommendations for minimizing the impact of the deep-sea vessel Danube - Black Sea on freshwater ecosystems.
popup.description2
A summary of the materials of previous studies of the water areas of the GSH showed a decrease in the species richness of hydrobionts during 2023-2025, which is associated with a decrease in the number of species of alga flora (in particular microphytobenthos) and macroinvertebrates (mainly crustaceans and insects) along with the stable development of macrophytes and ichthyofauna. The composition and structure of macrophytes in the water areas within the city of Vylkove turned out to be more sensitive to hydrochemical and hydrological changes between years than in other water areas of the GSH. Bioindication of pollution by benthic invertebrates showed a deterioration in the saprobological situation and water quality in certain areas of the GSH, primarily within the city of Vylkove in 2025. According to quantitative indicators of bacterioplankton, the water areas of the GSH are characterized by prolonged high water pollution by organic substances and pathogenic and conditionally pathogenic microflora.
