The work is dedicated to solving the current task of increasing the efficiency of the functioning of the urban passenger transportation system by improving the route network and developing an interactive passenger transport management system in the city of Cherkasy. The work carried out a comprehensive analysis of the structure and functioning of the existing production system of urban passenger transportation, which includes a study of the route network, rolling stock and infrastructure that provides transport services to the population.
A static electronic database of the transport system of the city of Cherkasy was formed, containing information on the street and road network, stops, transport nodes, races, routes and vehicles. A survey of the population's demand for public transport was conducted, the systematization of the data obtained was carried out and a dynamic database of passenger flows was formed.
Based on the results obtained, an analysis of the parameters of the functioning of the existing route network was carried out, technical and operational indicators of vehicle operation were determined, the features of the functioning of routes and stops were studied, as well as the level of duplication of routes. Proposals were developed to improve the route network of the city of Cherkasy, taking into account the prospects for the development of the urban area, rational traffic modes, number and passenger capacity of vehicles were determined.
