popup.description1
Development of scientific principles, mathematical models and experimental methods of research of non-stationary processes in electromagnetic and electrotechnological systems of pulsed electromagnetic influence on conductive and dielectric media using eddy currents and pulsed barrier discharge, development of mathematical models of electromagnetic systems with pulsed discrete-time control as components power supply systems of electrotechnological equipment.
popup.description2
Research object – mathematical models for calculating pulsed electromagnetic fields and methods for determining the force action of a pulsed electromagnetic field on electrically conductive media, electrophysical processes in pulsed barrier discharges, and designs and electromagnetic systems with pulsed discrete single-shot control.
Research objective – to develop scientific foundations, mathematical models, and experimental methods for studying transient processes in electromagnetic and electrotechnological systems for pulsed electromagnetic action on electrically conductive and dielectric media using eddy currents and pulsed barrier discharges; to develop mathematical models of electromagnetic systems with pulsed discrete single-shot control as components of power supply systems for electrotechnological equipment.
Research methods – experimental determination of the regularities of pulsed barrier discharge using electrical, optical, spectral, and chemical research methods; mathematical modeling of electromagnetic fields in the inductor–electrically conductive medium system; mathematical modeling of transformer-switching structures with pulsed discrete single-shot control.
An approach was proposed and a mathematical model was developed to determine the effect of the discharge gap length and the time dependence of the pulsed electric field rise on the characteristics of the avalanche stage of discharge, taking into account impact ionization in the gas, the effect of photoionization on avalanche multiplication, diffusion, and electrostatic repulsion of electrons until the condition for the onset of the streamer process is reached at the avalanche head.
The effect of the geometric characteristics of the electrode tip on the characteristics of corona discharge was determined.
