The purpose of the research work is to develop to provide recommendations for improving the process of diamond reaming of hydraulic equipment holes to increase the accuracy of the parameters of the machined holes
During the research, a review and justification of the choice of floating chucks for securing diamond reamers were carried out to transfer machining from 2N135 vertical-drilling machines equipped with a manual-feed coolant filtration system to vertical-milling machining centers (MC). A modernization of the diamond reamers and the Sunnen floating chuck for securing it was proposed—the analogous design of which is used on Sunnen honing machines—to enable machining on the modernized Haas VF-1 vertical-milling MC
The proposed modernization was experimentally confirmed and, by the time the research work was completed at PJSC "Hydrosila APM", was introduced into production when machining hydraulic distributor housings on the modernized Haas VF-1 vertical-milling MC.
