The objective of the study was the development of more exactly numerical schemes and mathematical models for studying a dynamic efficiency of railway underframes and processes of whe- el/rail contact.Using the methods for statistic dynamics, mathematic simu- lation, the algorithm for solving a geometric three-dimensional problem on wheel/rail contact is up-dated, their dynamic interaction model is defi- ned more exactly, the effect of contact stiffen and dissipative parame- meters of truck elements in between and the body to trucks on dynamic stability of a freight car is evaluated, a mathematical model for the freight car vibrations with consideration of longitudinal pressing for- ces effected by train's adjacent freight car is constructed. New results on modeling processes of creeping the flange onto rail head and on stu- dying safe motion of the car according to conditions of wheeling the flange of the rail as welas on choosing the new profiles to reduce the wear of their heads without degradation of car's dynamic efficiency. The developed the schemes of estimations, mathematical models and algorithms have found application for solving the practical problems in the frame- work of contracts.
