Research purpose was to determine the advisability of introducting the truck by Ukraine's railway . Methods for statistical dynamics, vibrations theory, mathematical statistics, statistical treatment are used Forced three-dimensional vibrations of freight wagons with standard and upgraded trucks equipped with various rim profiles are studied analytically. Predic-ted data related to dynamic properties of the above wagons and wear of their wheels are obtained. We took part in dynamic and service tests of experimental wagons. Recorging the vibration processes in wagons running under cargo and without it on straight and curved sections of track is treated statistically. Obtained analytical and measured dynamic characteristics of freight wagons with standard and upgraded trucks in a wide speed range are analyzed comparatively. Novelty of the results lies in the fact that the advisability of introducting the truck of freight wagons upgraded by A. Stucki technology with a nonlinear profile of ITM 73 wheel rim by Ukraine's railway is proved analytically and experimentally. It allows improving dynamical properties of wagons and decreasing wheel wear significally. The results obtained will be used to solve the practical problems on improvement of freight wagons.
