It is established that spectrum of non-calcium protein-bound (LP) form is present in integral spectrum of Indo-1 fluorescence in thymocytes. This affects the quantitative estimation of [Ca2+]i . Electron excitation energy transfer has been detected in thymocytes, which suggest a closed binding of Indo-1 to cytosolic protein in thymocytes.
