Purpose of research: the development of a design of a independent pneumatic suspension with a dynamic damper of vibration (DDV) and a hydraulic compensation of the change in load for front-wheel driver cars, the development of mathematical models to determine the suspension characteristics, experimental determination of main static and dynamic characteristics of suspension, the analysis of the influence of the suspension design and regime parameters on dynamic of the system: car-suspension and the choice of rational parameters of the car pneumatic suspension design, carrying out the road tests of a stock car with suspensions developed. Method of research: theoretical and experimentals. Equipment: ITM's SDI-6 stand for dynamic tests of vibration-protected systems. Computer-aided system for gathering and processing the PC-based test results. Analytical and practical results: for the VAZ 21099 car the designs of the rear and front independent pneumatic suspensions with a DDV and hydraulic compensation of the change in load have been developed. The experimental prototypes of suspensions have been manufactured. The nonlinear and linear mathematical models of the vertical oscillation dynamics of the car with suspensions of the stated design have been developed allowing the calculation of the static and dynamic characteristics of the latter to be carried out depending on their design and regime parameters. The rational values of the suspension parameters have been determined. Developed suspension designs with a substantial increase in the car smooth motion and handling ensure high indicators of adhesion of wheels with a road and, thus, safety of automobile traffic.
