In 74 patients diagnostic laparoscopy verified the diagnosis of acute pancreatitis among 112 patients whom the diagnosis of acute pancreati-tis has been established on the basis of traditional methods of clinical, laboratory, radiological and ultrasonic research of the organs of hepato-pancreatobiliar zone. In 38 (34%) patients diagnostic laparoscopy has removed suspicions of acute pancreatitis and promoted early diagnos-tics of other organs of the abdominal cavity.
