Object of research - the banking system of Ukraine as part of the national economy, the processes of its formation and development in a globalizing economic processes and mechanisms of regulation. The aim of research is to develop a theoretical, methodological and practical foundations of the banking system of Ukraine in the context of globalization of economic processes. Methods of research is the analysis and synthesis, classification, evaluation, systematic and comparative analysis. As a result of the executed study obtained the following results: 1) developed its own strategy to increase banks' capitalization; 2) formed a strategy for managing liquidity and profitability of the bank; 3) the ways of improving monetary and exchange rate policy of the National Bank of Ukraine; 4) developed guidelines for optimizing deposit policy for commercial banks in the context of expansion of banking services and Products; 5) proposed a comprehensive program of the banking system and government in-volvement in providing credit for small and medium businesses
