Purpose of the study: professional ability of the teacher of fine arts. The object of investigation: psychological and pedagogical features of the process of formation of professional ability of future teachers of fine arts in art and system of teacher education . The purpose of the study is to further the development of scientific -theoretical and methodological principles of formation of artistic and creative thinking in the classroom for individual artistic disciplines cycle during the training of future teachers of fine and decorative arts of additional specializations. Methods: Theoretical , empirical . Theoretical and practical results defines a set of professionally important qualities of a teacher of Art and clarified the meaning of social demand for his professional skills and personality of the relevant educational institutions. Developed criteria for determining the quality of the formation of artistic and imaginative thinking, artistic and aesthetic perception of nature and images ( works), compositional thinking and thinking in the material for educational and artistic creativity problems .
