The recommendations for suitability of the condensing-evaporating blocks changing or exploitation continuation in the frame of operating cooling systems or heat pumps are developed. The recommendations are created on the base of thermo-economic method. The method is formed with a glance of the phase changing thermal-hydraulic processes irreversibility. The method allows minimizing the cost of life-cycle with a glance of operating and capital costs, operating conditions. The method was used for the recommendations justification for the upgrading of the workinng chiller which is working in the technological line of Kharkiv dairy plant.
