The study goal - is to develop methodological approaches to improve the personnel management system in the Armed Forces of Ukraine in accordance with the principles and approaches adopted in the NATO member states. The study methods - system analysis. Main results of the study: analysed of the current state of the personnel management system in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the personnel management systems of the armed forces of NATO member states, the current state of training and qualification of personnel of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as well as the armed forces of the member-NATO members; the projects of the perspective model of the personnel management system in the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the perspective structure of the personnel services of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and the Armed Forces of Ukraine have been developed taking into account the principles and approaches adopted in the NATO member states. Proposed materials are to be realized in training process and preparation of students of National Defense University of Ukraine named after Ivan Cherniakhovskyi and further research on this science direction.
