Research Report: 241 pages, 40 tables, 32 figures, 35 references, 10 appendices. The object of study is the career management system of servicemen in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The purpose of the work is the study of the effectiveness of the military career management system as a basis for the professionalization of the personnel of Armed Forces of Ukraine. The results of the research: 1. The issues of implementation of the personnel policy system in the armed forces of the leading countries of the world and NATO member states. 2. The analysis of the current regulatory-normative base for the issues of the military service of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is performed, the necessity of amendments to the regulatory-normative documents which will facilitate the introduction of the latest and improvement of the existing mechanisms of the personnel policy implementation in the Armed Forces of Ukraine are justified. 3. The necessity of the introduction of the psychological examination of the officers in the Armed Forces of Ukraine prior to their appointment to higher positions was justified. The role and place of the psychological study in the comprehensive evaluation of the officer's activity is defined. 4. The perspective system of functioning of personnel service is proposed, the ways for increasing the efficiency of functioning of the system of career management of military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are defined. 5. Recommendations are proposed for the introduction of the amendments to the regulatory framework that will facilitate the introduction of the newest and improving the current mechanisms of implementation of the personnel policy of the state, especially those concerning the procedure of military service of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. 6. Additional criteria for the assessment of servicemen, which can used to refine their rating, have been identified and proposed for implementation. 7. A typical algorithm of the career management for the sergeant and sergeant-major level personnel of general military specialties and a promising career system of sergeants and sergeants-majors in accordance with the advanced system of multilevel training are proposed. 8. On the basis of the study and generalization of the research results, a number of recommendations were proposed for the development of an effective system of personnel management in the Armed Forces of Ukraine and suggestions were listed for the amendments to some Laws of Ukraine, which regulate the procedure of military service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The research investigates the effectiveness of the military career management system in the Armed Forces of Ukraine and offers suggestions for improving its effectiveness.54815481
