У дисертації досліджуються питання удосконалення методології та організації обліку витрат і калькулювання собівартості на підприємствах плодоовочевої консервної промисловості. Оцінено різноманітні вітчизняні і зарубіжні методи обліку витрат та калькулювання собівартості, визначені найбільш придатні для підприємств консервної промисловості. Внесені рекомендації щодо використання облікової інформації в управлінні.
