(The article focuses on studying the peculiarities of the phraseological representation of the concept PUBLIC RELATIONS in the English language (American and British variants) with an emphasis on revealing universal and nationally specific characteristics of the concept under consideration in American and British linguocultures. The status of the concept PUBLIC RELATIONS in the linguocultures of Great Britain and the USA has been substantiated through explicating the degree of its actuality in the corresponding national axiological pictures of the world, the theoretical basis being that cultures of different nations – the American and the British ones, in our case – in the context of their close interaction can have a common overlapping linguocognitive space. Thus, in the structure of the concept PUBLIC RELATIONS which apeared in both the American and the British linguocultures almost synchronically we have found out the supranational, the universal since the phenomenon of PR activities proves to be international, cognized by linguocultures empirically. In this connection, the novelty of the research is explicated in the fact that within its framework quite a peculiar fragment of reality – PR activities – is regarded in the format of a concept, whose ways of phraseological objectivization have been systematized, taking into account their correlations with various components of its structure and revealing nationally specific segments at all its levels except the universal one.) popup.nrat_date 2026-05-01 Close
