У навчальному посібнику розглянуто розділи елементарної математики і початків аналізу: множини, принцип математичної індукції, комбінаторика, біном Ньютона, послідовності, прогресії. Кожний розділ містить теоретичні положення, що супроводжуються прикладами різного рівня складності. Для самостійної роботи запропоновано достатню кількість задач, а також питання для самоперевірки. Для слухачів підготовчих курсів, а також старшокласників, абітурієнтів, студентів І–ІІ курсів технічних та економічних спеціальностей вищих навчальних закладів, учителів профільних фізико-математичних класів навчальних закладів освіти та викладачів вищої школи.
The textbook discusses the sections of elementary mathematics and the principles of analysis: sets, the principle of mathematical induction, combinatorics, Newton's binomial, sequence, progression. Each section contains theoretical provisions, accompanied by examples of different levels of complexity. A sufficient number of tasks, as well as questions for self-examination are offered for independent work. For students of preparatory courses, as well as high school students, entrants, students of I-II courses of technical and economic specialties of higher educational institutions, teachers of specialized physical and mathematical classes of educational institutions and teachers of higher schools.
