(The article is devoted to the issue of autonomous learning and introduction of the concept into the system of higher education. The basic methods and principles of autonomous language learning process as well as the principles of their effective functioning under the influence of international integration have been analyzed. The analysis also includes the strategies on how student-centered learning can be applied as a principle of teaching and assessment.
