З’ясовано концептуальні засади праць таких вчених як З. Когут, Г. Грабович, І. Лисяк-Рудницький, Р. Шпорлюк. Проаналізовано їх спільні та відмінні погляди на проблему існування української нації. (The article describes the main approaches of Ukrainian researchers towards the problems of the Ukrainian nation building. It gives the characteristic of the two main theoretical constructs – modernism and primordialism. Moreover, the author analyses them as regarding their impact on nation-building process and on the works of scholars. The conceptual works by Z. Kohut, H. Hrabovych, I. Lysiak-Rudnytskyi, R. Shporliuk are evaluated.
