Description

Effective youth policy is one of the main vectors in terms of organizing the modern domestic socio-economic and geopolitical space. In the conditions of growing interstate competition, young people cease to be only a specific, socially differentiated, socio-demographic community. Youth is becoming a resource of stability, competitiveness and geopolitical security of Ukraine. Accordingly, youth policy is the most important component of the system of management of social processes and plays an increasing role in society. In general, it should be noted that today in Ukraine there is a gap between the statements about the need to invest in youth and the participation of the latter in the development of domestic youth policy. However, global interstate competition stimulates the migration of young resources, which has caused economic weakness and a factor in Ukraine’s geopolitical vulnerability. There is an effect of «Hamelic rat». The latter arises where the national elite does not take into account global competition and thus actually takes the position of an observer of the pragmatic actions of the developed countries of the recipients – «rat». The authorities must be based on the principles of democracy and the rule of law, not on the logic of the revolutionary construction of a globalization utopia. It is not the fervent appeals of leaders, but political institutions that should guarantee the involvement of young people in deciding their destiny. Long-term youth policy and its consequences are a demonstration of regional and international discord. In our opinion, we should talk about the systemic crisis of domestic institutions of power, political, economic and social crisis, the inability of the political elite to rise to the level of statesmen who put the interests of the state above personal and corporate.
