Київ The article examines the challenges and opportunities for ensuring the environmental sustainability of urbanized areas in conditions of intensive urbanization and armed conflict. Modern approaches to spatial planning aimed at reducing the negative impact on the environment are analyzed. The experience of countries implementing environmentally oriented strategies is studied, in particular, the use of green infrastructure, renewable energy sources and sustainable transport.
