Description
The subject of the study is the regional rural economy as a prerogative of the development of
information technologies.
The purpose of the study is to determine promising areas of digitalization of the regional rural
economy.
Research methods. The article uses the dialectical method of scientific knowledge, the method of
analysis and synthesis, the comparative method, and the method of data generalization.
Results of the work. The article identifies a list of important aspects that emphasize the
importance of information technologies for the development of the rural economy. It is found that
through the effective use of IT, the regional rural economy will be able to become more resistant to
external shocks. The features of the regional rural economy as a prerogative of the development of
information technologies are characterized.
Conclusions. The development of the rural economy in Ukraine is directly related to the introduction
of information technologies (IT). Rural areas often face a low level of economic development, which
is due to insufficient access to modern technologies. Information technologies will contribute to
improving agricultural production, increasing productivity, and optimizing management processes.
The introduction of electronic accounting and monitoring systems for growing crops allows farmers
to manage resources more effectively and reduce costs. Internet platforms for selling products
provide direct access to consumers, which increases the competitiveness of local producers. The
introduction of educational programs in the field of IT for the rural population is also important, as
it stimulates the development of innovative approaches to farming. Involving young people in digital
technologies can significantly improve the economic performance of regions, contributing to their
integration into the global economy. Thus, the integration of information technologies into the rural
economy not only increases its efficiency, but also contributes to the economic growth of regions,
providing new opportunities for the population. The development of IT is becoming not only a trend, but
also a necessity for ensuring the sustainability of rural areas.
