Description

The object of the study is the aquatic ecosystem of the Vilnyanka River.
The subject of the study is the anthropogenic impact on the state of the aquatic ecosystem of the Vilnyanka River and ways to minimize it.
Methods of research observation, analysis, comparison, description, calculation, generalization.
The purpose of the work is to study the physical, geographical, hydrochemical, microbiological characteristics and biodiversity of the Vilnyanka River in order to assess the state of its aquatic ecosystem and identify environmental problems with recommendations for their solution.
Theoretically and experimentally determined: physical and geographical features of the Vilnyanka River basin. It was established that the width of the Vilnyanka River basin in the lower reaches increases to 209 m under the influence of the Dnieper Reservoir. This can cause a slowdown in the flow and disrupt the self-purification process. The hydrological regime of the river, regulated by a system of six ponds, was analyzed. The correspondence of the actual indicators of the composition and properties of the Vilnyanka River water to the MPC and OBRV was also analyzed, which made it possible to assess the state of its ecosystem. The biodiversity of the Vilnyanka River was studied, the species composition of which is represented by aquatic and coastal vegetation, as well as various groups of animals, in particular invertebrates, fish and birds. The MCP of the Vilnyanka River water (~3000 CFU/ml) was experimentally determined, which indicates microbiological pollution of domestic or economic origin.
