Kavetsky Institute of Experimental Pathology, Oncology and Radiobiology popup.description2 The typical alterations in metabolism of polyamines upon the development of resistance to cisplatin and doxorubicin in tumor of mice and rats were revealed: the increase of concentration of putrescine and spermine; the increase of activity of ornithindecarboxylase; the decrease of content acethylspermidine and of the activities of diaminoxydase and ?-glytamiltranspeptidase; the essential increase of acid-soluble and acid-insoluble forms of polyamines in plasma membrane of tumor cells. It was estabilished, that the use of ihibitors of polyamines synthesis simultaneousty with cytostatics overcome partially the drug-resistance of tumor cells.
