The process was realized in a ceramic crucible in a vacuum induction furnace equipped with the electron-beam gun. A high quality of metal and a rather low specific electric energy consumption was demonstrated to be the main advantages of the new technology. It proves that the combined induction and electron-beam melting and refining technique may be practically used for obtaining of billets from the conditioned superalloys waste for cast parts production.
