Kavetsky Institute of Experimental Pathology, Oncology and Radiobiology popup.description2 This report presents the results of the work on the project financed by the grant from Ukrainian National Academy of Sciences for young scientists "The role of BCR and CD150 in the regulation of signaling pathways in B lymphocytes". В cellular receptor (ВCR) is a specific B cell receptor, which is a major regulator of the B cell survival and differentiation on different stages of B cell development. Special attention in studies should be given to the abnormalities of the proliferation, differentiation and apoptosis caused by inappropriate functions of BCR. Recently, a new subfamily of protein kinases D (PKD) was identified, which plays an important role in signal transduction in different cellular systems. These protein kinases are involved in the signaling cascades initiated via BCR. Signaling cascades initiated via B cell receptor differ depending from the B cell stage of development, co-receptor expression, including CD150 receptor. In this project we investigated CD150 and PKD1/2 expression profileon mRNA and protein level in different cell lines and tumors. Also we determined the major features of CD150 and PKD1/2 mediated signaling cascades in different tumor cells lines. General conclusions were formulated.
