Subjects of inquiry - end effectors of tilling machines and implements for primary cultivation and seedbed preparation, implements, machines and processes for primary cultivation and seedbed preparation, units for overlapping of tilling operations with seeding operations. Investigation objective - determination of effects which parameters of end effectors and modes of operation have upon energy and agronomical and technical indices of tilling units, determination of technical-economical indices of units for tilling and seeding, and also operations of tilling according to processes of growing agricultural crops without herbicides application. As a result of work done, end effectors of tilling implements, machines, and units were worked out, which have various parameters that have effects upon agronomical and technical and energy indices. With due account of these indices, developed are end effectors of implements and units, which allow to decrease energy consumption by 15-20%, increase productivity by 25-30%, diminish chemical load by 50-100%, and overlapping of tillage operation with seeding operation and fertilizer application - reduce man-caused load on soil by factors of 2-3.
