The purpose of the work is theoretical and methodological reasoning of organizational and economic mechanism of diagnostics of the economic systems of different levels taking into account risk that will help them adapt to operating in an unstable market environment. Methods: methods of epistemological analysis (historical, analytical, logical, synthesis, decomposition), a systematic approach, analysis, synthesis, induction and deduction; scientific abstraction, clustering, analysis and synthesis, economic and mathematical, and statistical methods. The study identified the conceptual bases of formation of the organizational and economic mechanism of risk diagnostics, according to which mechanism of diagnostics of the economic system is constructed taking into account risk factors. Proposed and substantiated the concept of risk diagnostics of the economic entity, which takes into account two objectives of risk management, namely, the development of resistance and limited effect. Developed and justified the methodological bases of the evaluation of persistent development of the enterprise and individual areas of economic activity for different levels of detail of risk factors at the microlevel. The system of indicators for diagnosing the risk of development (growth) is proved and the economic indicator, the "coefficient of risk advantage", is offered. According to the author's method based on the developed mechanism of diagnostics, the risk is assessed at the mesolevel in several scenarios, depending on the level of details, intended by the goal of diagnostics, and levels of study, respectively. The main advantages of this study on analogs are the systems approach to the diagnostics of the risks of the enterprise; consideration of the uncertainty of the environment in the analysis at the macro-, meso- and microlevels. Along with that the level of risk for certain types of economic activities, sectors of the economy of Ukraine, economic actors of Khmelnytskyi region is assessed.
