The researchers have assessed the financial and economic activities and the level of loss-making of Ukraine's sector leading companies and revealed the possibilities for their modernization. Also they investigated the economic activities of the top twenty (in output terms) companies and top ten (in terms of main indicators and financial results) joint stock companies. The project executors provide the guidelines and to priority tasks for structural and technological modernization of Ukraine's industry, they define mechanisms for the realization of restructuring.
