The given research analyzes the current state of international regulation of relations in the Internet, and also provides historical analysis of the emergence and formation of the Internet, and formation of legal approaches and international legal regulation of Internet in the doctrine of the United States, Ukraine and international law. It also deals with the contemporary system of international legal regulation of the Internet, and the activity of international law regarding its existence and activity in it (steps, taken by states, international governmental and non-governmental organizations).It has been analyzed and compounded the system of sources of international law in the field of information technologies and communications, and in particular - of the Internet-regulation (international treaties, multilateral conventions, prepared in the framework of intergovernmental organizations, the rules of "soft law"). A group of international legal acts on protection of intellectual property rights on the Internet has been determined.
