The aim of research is the development special software for processing and archiving satellite imagery to solve thematic tasks of the Earth remote sensing in the information-analytical system of the State Space Agency of Ukraine. The investigation method shows and reviews the experience of creating similar software systems with usage information technology. As a result of research software complexes "Administrator", "Archivist" and "image processing" were developed, which provide automatic operations and image processing on a single information base and operated in accordance with the plans of a specific information-analytical system. The developed software complexes are the parts of the creating a prototype software-hardware complex of processing and archiving satellite imagery.
