Object of research: lymphocytes of peripheral blood of 80 people with cerebrovascular disease, who were exposed to ionizing radiation, nonexposed persons and control group. Purpose - to determine the characteristics of programmed cell death, telomere length and expression of gene regulators of apoptosis and telomerase complex in lymphocytes of peripheral blood of Chernobyl clean-up workers with cerebrovascular pathology, depending from the degree of cognitive disorders. Research methods - clinical, neurophysiological, psychometric, immunological, cell-molecular, cultural, statistical. As a result of the 2nd phase of research in patients with low cognitive deficits established increased of expression of TP53 and TP53I3 genes, accompanied by increasing of CD95 + lymphocytes fraction, decreased number of CD4 +, CD4 +25 + lymphocytes. Established negative correlation dependence between the level of BAX gene expression , a positive correlation dependence CCND1 overexpression and bcl-2 expression with dose radiation in Chernobyl clean-up workers 1986-87, with low cognitive deficits. The highest RQ of CCND1 gene set in the group of patients with dementia in the remote period after irradiation. Established dose-dependent TERF1, TERF2 overexpression, reducing the relative telomere length, CD34 +38- cells fraction and number of СD34+38- early progenitor cell after 23-25 years after exposure. In patients with low cognitive deficits in remote periods after irradiation remains negative correlation dependence of telomere length from age. Found more pronounced cerebrovascular violation and heavier flow in groups of Chernobyl clean-up workers, compared with nonirradiated. These results suggest the possibility and necessity of research for the 3 stage research studies. By stage of research published and submitted publications for 21 scientific work, to apply for a utility model, made five presentations at international conferences. Keywords: Radiation, cerebrovascular pathology, immune system, gene expression, apoptosis, telomere.
