Raised in the topic issue the new realities and aspects of the study of Ukrainian musical culture lie in the creation of modern objective conception of the history of Ukrainian musical culture and presents the most comprehensive evidence base of the latter. The relevance of the appearance of works of this nature in modern conditions did not decrease, but increases thanks readers' interest. Positive experience of historical art study opens the way to update the theoretical and methodological aspects of the study as ethno-cultural heritage and contemporary art processes in Ukraine. Along with the traditional historical-genetic, historical and comparative, source and other methods also non-traditional for musicology genealogical and para-musicological methods are used. The research results will be output in a new, substantially revised and expanded fundamental academic 7-volume casing "History of Ukrainian Music" (preparation of III, IV vol.). The relevance and importance of the results is not only on domestic level, but on international one too.
