The subject of the study is the individual features of the copies of the Belarusian Cyrillic early printed books of the 16th - early 19th centuries, which give information on the peculiarities of the printing, the ways of dissemination and the history of the existence of the Belarusian book on the territory of Ukraine. The purpose of the international project is to determine the nature of the interaction of the book traditions of Belarus and Ukraine in the XVI - early XIX century by identifying the Belarusian and Ukrainian early printed books in the libraries of both countries. From the Ukrainian side, it is a question of the introduction into the scientific circulation of copies of the Belarusian periodical editions of the XVII - beginning of the XIX century. from the funds of the Maksymovych Scientific Library named after Taras Shevchenko Kyiv National University, as well as Ukrainian periodicals published as a result of cooperation between Ukrainian and Belarusian cultural figures and an example of interactions in the development of book art. To include the book collection in the wider space of the Ukrainian-Belarusian book heritage, Belarusian early-books from other Ukrainian book collections should be explored. Methods of research: general theoretical, in particular - analytical-synthetic, empirical - comparative, incl. - historical and comparative method; methods of special historical disciplines - palaeographic, typographical, typological, etc. During the metographer of the earliest records, the theoretical developments of V.Nemchuk were used. During the compilation of detailed descriptions of the early printed books, the book-research recommendations developed by the staff of the V. I. Vernadsky National Library of Ukraine (in particular, G. Kovalchuk, N. Bondar, L. Duvrovina), the scheme of bibliogestic research of O. Gal'chenko, were used, the basic structure of the bibliographical description in catalogs of Cyrillic editions compiled by N. Bondar, V. Fris, S. Voloschenko, A. Voznesensky, and others like that. The structure of bibliographic description of the catalog of Cyrillic editions of the XVI century is used. in the fund of the Central Scientific Library named after Yakub Kolas of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.
