The excited states of the deformed 158Gd nuclear were studied in the reaction (p, t) with the help of the Munich Tandem and Q3D spectrograph. 30 new excited 0+ states (three orientation) corresponded to an excitation energy of up to 4.3 MeV. The total number of 34 excited 0+ states (four of which, conditionally) in a deformed nucleus is close to a complete level scheme, opens up a new opportunity for testing nuclear models and obtaining additional information on the structure of these special states. Statistical analysis of the distribution of collective states in actinide and rare earth nuclei is carried out in terms of nearest-neighbor spacing distribution intervals between levels. For the analysis, some approximations were applied, such as the linear approach to the repulsion levels density and Brody's proposed approach to these distributions. An intermediate nature of the experimental spectra of these states between order and chaos for a number of rare-earth nuclei and actinides is found. They are closer to the Wigner distribution for energies bounded by 3 MeV and to the Poisson distribution for data that includes higher excitation energies and higher spins. These features are confirmed by cumulative distributions, where the contribution of Wigner distributions dominates at smaller distances, while the Poisson distributions are more important at greater distances. An intermediate structure was found between the statistical features of Poisson and Wigner in experimental spectra by evaluating their individual contributions. NNSD for a smaller region of excitation energy may be better described by Wigner distribution.
