The object of the research is the processes of flow, noise and heat transfer during expansion and cooling of exhaust gases. The subject of the research is indicators of the processes of flow, noise and heat transfer during expansion and cooling of exhaust gases in finned tubular surfaces of compressed matrices. The aim of the scientific research is to reduce the acoustic and temperature fields of the exhaust gases of ship power plants by improving acoustic suppression processes while simultaneously reducing the temperature of the exhaust gases. To reduce the acoustic and temperature fields, it was proposed to use the exhaust gas silencer, which is combined with the water-heating surface. To improve the efficiency of heat transfer and reduce the temperature at the outlet of the muffler, the possibility of intensifying heat transfer processes on dimple's surfaces by profiling them with well systems was considered. The expected reduction in sound pressure was up to 12 dB with this solution, the exhaust gas temperature to 225°C (abs). The proposed location of the dimples on the finned surface. Thermogasdynamic characteristics of profiled finned surfaces were determined by the method of mathematical modeling. The simulation was performed on the basis of the RSM-model of Reynolds stresses and the energy equation with the corresponding boundary conditions. It was found that the greatest decrease in temperature occurs at the staggered arrangement of the dimples. With this arrangement, as compared with non-profiled ribbed surfaces, an additional decrease in acoustic pressure is 1.4 dB by decreasing the temperature in 8°C for every 200 mm of the estimated pipe length. The indicated decrease in temperature on the heat exchange surface will lead to a decrease in the level of acoustic pressure up to 13 dB (rel.), And a decrease in the temperature of the exhaust gases at the chimney section, taking into account additional cooling in gas-air coolers, by 5 ... 30°C, which is in its the queue will lead to an increase in the stealth of the ship on the thermal track by 3.2 ... 17.9%.
