Its depend on the ecological factors and species life strategy. The dependence between the resistance of arid moss Weissia tortilis to UV irradiation, morphological structure of turf and gravitropism, determined by species confinement in extreme conditions of water deficit and solar radiation was established. The change of the gravity vector direction affects on the carbohydrates metabolism that involved in different levels of gravisignal transduction in Weissia tortilis and Ceratodon purpureus protonemata and can provide control over the content of the active forms of oxygen. Gravity as a key ecological factor stimulates modifying ecotypic changes in bryophytes ontogenesis and cellular defence systems that increase resistance and the ability of plants to survive in stressful conditions of solar radiation and water deficit.
