The purpose of the work is to develop technical solutions for the protection of gas and gas safety and the “Project of degassing of the excavation section 1039 of the С10в lava section of the mine «West-Donbass» of the PSD «MINE MANAGEMENT TERNIVSKY» PJSC «DFEK Pavlogradvugillya». Research methods – generalization and analysis of results, methods of mat. statistics, calculations by standard methods. As a result of the work, the technical documentation for the development of 883 lava and the dead-end workings of the mine «West-Donbass» of the PSD «MINE MANAGEMENT TERNIVSKY» PJSC «DFEK Pavlogradvugillya» was analyzed. The calculation of the expected methane release within the excavation site, the calculation of the air flow rate for ventilation of the treatment plant and the excavation site, the forecast of sudden methane breakthroughs from the mining soil, the calculation of the required diameters of the gas pipeline and the mode of operation of the vacuum pump. The parameters of drilling and technology of construction of degassing wells are determined. Measures have been developed to control the system of degassing during fires in mining. The project of degassing of the excavation section 883 of the С8н lava reservoir of mine «West-Donbass» of the PSD «MINE MANAGEMENT TERNIVSKY» PJSC «DFEK Pavlogradvugillya» was developed. Developed "Recommendations for ensuring the dust and gas safety of works during the deadlock production 883 of the split furnace at the outlet of fresh air entering the air, the outgoing ventilation air stream from the deadlock production 883 collective drift". Results of the implementation of the development – application of the developed recommendations made it possible to ensure gas safety during mining operations, which is of great socio-economic and environmental importance.
