The subject of research is the regulatory framework for fire safety of building products and materials, namely roofs and roofing materials. The purpose of the research work is to substantiate the procedure of extended application of the results of tests of roofs and roofing materials by external fire exposure and to develop a draft of the relevant national standard of Ukraine. Research methods - analytical (analysis of literature sources, standards and information on the Internet on the application of test results of roofs and roofing materials by external fire exposure according to CEN / TS 16459). As a result of research work: a) committed: - collection and analysis of normative, guiding and technical documents, reference books, other literature sources related to the requirements and methods of testing roofs and roofing materials on fire hazard; - determination of characteristic features of each of four methods of tests of roofs and roofing materials by external fire exposure according to DSTU CEN / TS 1187 taking into account type of roof, roof pitch, type of basis, location of joints, execution of end faces, etc .; - determination of the procedure for extended application of the results of tests of roofs and roofing materials by external fire exposure in accordance with CEN / TS 16459; - development of a technical task for the development of a national standard and development of the first edition of the draft national standard and an explanatory note to it. b) processed and analyzed information on: 1) international experience in the application of methods of tests of roofs and roofing materials; 2) fire load of ignition sources by four methods; 3) simulation of ignition source fire processes for 1 and 2 methods of CEN / TS 1187.
