The object of research is the patterns of variability of biochemical composition and valuable economic characteristics of carrots. The aim is to improve the method of accelerated evaluation and creation of a source material for the selection of carrots, which will be characterized by increased productivity, biochemical composition of products, will be suitable for organic production technologies. A Model of variety (lines) was developed, which allowed doubling the selection of sources and creating the necessary set of carrot lines of different varieties for heterosis selection, which by its morpho-physiological, qualitative and immune properties was suitable for organic production. Improve the method of estimating carrot lines, which reduced the time to create fertile lines by 7 years. Developed guidelines "Methodological approaches to accelerate the selection process of carrots (DaucuscarotaL.)", Which halved the time of the selection and seed process of creating lines and varieties. To replenish the range of carrot lines for heterosis selection, the Toffee line - Shantene cultivars was created and transferred to the NCGRPU. Is fertile, early ripening (70 - 110 days), with a conical root crop (15-17 cm), yield 49.4 t/ha, well preserved, has good resistance to cracking, resistant to disease and carrot fly, with a high content of nutrients. Carrot sources with high adaptability (10.7%), yield (40.0 - 46.7 t/ha), marketability (80 - 90%) and high content of nutrients (dry matter, total sugar, ascorbic acid, β) -carotene).
