The resulting new nucleotide sequences will be entered into the Genetic Data Bank (GenBank). New samples of Trichinella have been added to our unique DNA library of Trichinella from wild and domestic animals of Ukraine. It was found that the following animals take part in the circulation of Trichinella in the Ukrainian Carpathians: wild boar, lynx, wolf, fox, badger and marten. The main reservoir of trichinosis invasion in natural foci is - lynx, wolf and fox. The average intensity of predatory mammal infestation in the Ukrainian Carpathians is 55%. The extent of animal invasion in the Ukrainian Carpathians ranges from 9 to 380 Trichinella larvae per 10 g of muscle tissue. The circulation of Trichinella in natural foci of invasion is ensured by trophic connections and occurs mainly through predation, cannibalism and when eating the carcasses of Trichinella-infected animals, which leave hunters as a "bait" for hunting. The territory of the Ukrainian Carpathians is endemic for trichinosis in natural conditions, and the local population should be warned about the existing danger.
