The goal of this work is to establish etiological structure of viral and chlamydial cattle diseases in Ukrainian farms as well as to create effective diagnostic, preventive and treatment tools. To study clinical and epizootic features of viral and chlamydial infection in cattle of various age groups, to define patterns of pathogenetic manifestations of reproductive diseases and to find out the etiological role of their causative agents in reproductive pathology of cattle in Ukraine. Epizootological, clinical, bacteriological, molecular, serological and statistical methods were used in this study. Epizootological, obstetric, gynecological and andrological examinations of animals were conducted. The method of bovine semen protection from contamination during cryopreservation by developing and production of diluent without chicken yolk based on bean hydrolyzate was developed. The qPCR method for the detection of chlamydial DNA in clinical samples was developed. A comprehensive system of analysis, control and prediction of the epizootic process in mixed virus-chlamydial infections in the pathology of cattle reproduction has been developed. Methods for determining of farms recovery from cattle virus-chlamydial infections on the basis of serological and molecular genetic research methods were developed. Monitoring studies were conducted among cattle using molecular and genetic methods to identify chlamydial foci. Serological screening was performed among cattle in chlamydial and viral foci. Clinical manifestations of chlamydial association in farms have been studied. Studies of clinical manifestations of viral and chlamydial associations in farms are carried out.
