For the first time, the order of formation of iron-containing phases in pre-eutectic aluminum-silicon alloys with an iron concentration of 0.83 wt.% - 3.3 wt.% During curing was experimentally determined. Using mathematical modeling, a method for predicting the structural zones of the casting in the process of its formation, which was tested in the study of the effect of temperature on the structure of the alloy AK5M2. Methods for neutralizing the harmful effects of iron by treating the melt with a pulsed electric current, which lead to changes in the crystallization process, are proposed. For the first time a method of pulsed-cyclic processing of the melt by electric current was developed. Vibration, mechanoactivation treatment of the melt by the rotor also lead to changes in the structure, morphology of iron-containing phases during curing and, accordingly, mechanical properties. its use for degassing and obtaining castings with a high level of properties due to the globulation of primary crystals of solid aluminum solution, which is reflected in the relevant acts.
