In the Report the main results obtained during the first part of the Project execution are given. Scientific and practical aspects of dynamic interferometers based on hybrid element with an oriented liquid crystal and a photorefractive crystal are developed. Visualization of a movable topological defect (disclination) in a liquid crystal is considered in different realization for a goal of practical applications as a detector of UV radiation. A new method is proposed for a control of optical beams with phase singularities (optical vortices) with the aid of synthesized astigmatic diffraction gratings. First time an effect of “negative refraction” for short light pulses owing to material dispersion was reported.
