Scientific and practical aspects of dynamic interferometers based on hybrid element with an oriented liquid crystal and a photorefractive crystal are developed. Visualization of a movable topological defect (disclination) in a liquid crystal is considered in different realization for a goal of practical applications as a detector of UV radiation. A new method is proposed for a control of optical beams with phase singularities (optical vortices) with the aid of synthesized astigmatic diffraction gratings.
